In response to the change of landscape designs and the growing expectations of our past and future customers, we, are also growing in order to accommodate their increasing needs and desires. You, too, will receive the personal attention you deserve since we take pride in the fact that we are family owned and operated.

Our First Dream


S.A.M. Landscaping, Inc., was started 1990 by three boys (all of whose initials are S.A.M) from Chardon with a dream…earning a little extra spending money. Our father gave us a loan for a $200 Sears Craftsman Lawnmower and some gas. And so we started out cutting our grandparents’ lawn. Soon the neighbors got wind of the $5.00 cutting service and signed up.
At the end of that first season, we had to repay our father the money that he loaned us; the profit was ours to share. Not only had we achieved our dream, but we also learned from our parents to take pride in our work as well as how to earn an honest living. During the course of almost twenty years, that first lawnmower has been replaced by commercial mowers and shears to cut and edge our clients’ yards. But…you will still get that “boy next door”, honest, and diligent lawn maintenance service.

 

Today


S.A.M. Landscaping is currently housed in a brand-new facility at 12255 Ravenna Road, Chardon, Ohio, that was partially designed by part owner, Shawn Moore. You will be provided with an endless array of high quality services since both Steve and Shawn hold Associate Degrees in Landscape Construction from Ohio State University.

Steve and Shawn continue to stay updated with their skills as well as the latest industry trends by attending annual workshops. In 2003, the Ohio Landscaping Association recognized our work at a residential waterfall job. Our Celebrity Garden won 1st Place at the 2011 Cleveland Home and Garden Show.


Over the course of almost two decades, we have completed projects throughout Northeast Ohio that have succeeded in fulfilling our customers’ dreams. We continue to take pride in the fact that we have been able to keep our business growing in Chardon…and since that first summer in 1990, have achieved that long-ago dream of three boys.
